Online world as important to Internet users as real world
"What's real is rational, and what's rational is real." This chestnut of Hegelian logic has never been more true than in today's Web 2.0 where, paraphrasing G.W.F. himself, `any content that anyone want's to exist does exist' and `any community that anyone wants, is.'
As the article linked above tends to confirm, perhaps the most noteworthy accomplishment of the net to date (a tall claim to be sure!), is the nonlinear expansion that it is fueling in the human community(s), society and culture at large. Indeed in a real (or is it virtual?) way, on-line communities are quickly becoming the full equivalent of physical ones (less all the atoms spent on food, transapotation, headcount, etc).
